Greyfriars Court prides itself on the amenities available to Owners, enabling them to maintain their independence whilst relieving them of the need to look after a house and garden. The 43 self-contained apartments are arranged on three floors with access by lift (capable of taking a buggy) and by stairs.
The communal facilities on the ground floor include a comfortable lounge, with television, wi-fi and a hearing loop system. There is also a meeting room, available for small groups, with an exercisebicycle for Owners’ use. The Court has a well-appointed dining-room where 3-course lunches are available to Owners for a reasonable charge, 365 days a year. Lighter meals can also be ordered.
A guest suite with twin beds, and a pull-out bed for a child, can be booked on a ‘first come, first served’ basis, at a modest cost for bed and breakfast.
Greyfriars Court has landscaped grounds and a walled garden, available for all Owners and their visitors to enjoy. These are particularly popular in the summer months, with attractive planting and various seating areas.
There is car parking for Owners, visitors and guests in the courtyard, again on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Space is not usually a problem, but there is also a large public car park between the Court and Cliffe High Street.
Finally, the communal laundry area includes token-operated washing-machines, driers, and ironing boards. Owners can also have their laundry done by the Housekeeping Assistants.
